In his project Campesino Cuba, Sharum traveled across Cuba to document the lives of isolated farmers and their wider communities during a time of national transition. Beginning in 2015, he researched these communities — the backbone of Cuban history — and created a striking series of black-and-white photographs that reveal the deep relationship between people and the land they depend on.
