Fumi Nagasaka is a Japanese photographer based in New York since 2002.
She began working with the cult magazine Street and later traveled through Europe and the U.S., focusing on portrait and documentary work.
In recent years, she has dedicated herself to documenting everyday life across America, capturing powerful and emotional images that reflect the dreams and stories of the people she meets.

Her work has been exhibited at the Taylor Wessing Photographic Portrait Prize and she won the Belfast Photo Festival in 2019. Tonight, we'll be hearing more about her creative journey — and especially about her latest book, Dora, Yerkwood, Walker County, Alabama, published by GOST Books and ongoing projects.
